Two brothers from New York.
Chris and Daniel Simone grew up in New York in a large Sicilian-Italian family. Their grandparents came from Sicily through Ellis Island. Sunday gravy, a packed table, pizza that was just pizza — the thin-crust kind you fold.
They opened Amore in Boone Village in 2003. The dough is still hand-tossed. The sauce is still made from scratch. If you want a slice, they cut you a slice.
People come for the NY pie. They come back for the garlic knots. The Eggplant Amore is a family recipe. If you’ve been coming since the beginning, they probably already know the order.
